Is the QR code generator free?
Yes. It is free, with no sign-up.
What can I put in a QR code?
A URL, plain text or a contact name. The download is a PNG, up to 1024 pixels.
Can I change the colours?
Yes. Choose the foreground and background colours. Keep strong contrast between them, or some phones may struggle to scan the code.
Is my data private?
The code is generated on my server, not in your browser. The image is deleted when you download it. If you don’t download it, it is deleted the next time anyone opens this page, once it is more than 5 minutes old. I don’t ask for an account.
Will my QR code expire?
No. These are static codes, so they keep working as long as the link or text inside is valid. Scan yours with a phone before you print it.
What if my QR code isn’t scanning?
Make sure the code is large enough and the colours contrast well. Try the default colours, or send me a message.
